DESCRIPTION:Join us at Boconnoc to learn from Peter Hunt\, the renowned beekeeper of Dartmoor Wild Honey\, in our interactive beekeeping experience. \nPeter runs the Blackaller Apiary and will lead you on an informative tour of Boconnoc’s beehives. \nThe session will start in the Stable Yard with an insightful talk\, followed by an idyllic tractor-trailer ride through the grounds to the Orchard\, where you’ll witness the bees in their hives. \nWe will provide protective clothing\, a honey tasting and refreshments. \n\nExplore the inner workings of the beehive.\nTry to spot the Queen and see the physical difference between a Drone\, Queen and Worker.\nDiscover the different duties of each bee.\nTry to identify the different pollens carried into the hives from Boconnoc Estate.\n\n19th August 10.00am \nAdults £24 \nChildren £14 \nBook Tickets

DESCRIPTION:Historian Catherine Lorigan will lead a history tour of Boconnoc House and grounds detailing the architecture\, paintings\, and people to tell the story of its past. \n\n\nGuests will also visit the 800-year-old church and Georgian Bath House. \n\n\nFollowing the history tour of Boconnoc House guests will be treated to a delicious Cornish Cream Tea in the Garden Room. \n\n\nBoconnoc House won the HHA/Sotheby’s Award for Restoration in 2012\, three prime ministers\, a history of duels and the architect Sir John Soane play a part in the story of this unique estate. \n\n\nDate 19th August \n\nTime 2pm to 5pm \nPrice £27 \n\nBOOK TICKETS
